Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft Tissue Therapy treats the soft tissue structures in the body, such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia. These structures can be at risk of becoming painful, restricted and tight due to a number of factors, such as injury, surgery, medical conditions, stress, lifestyle or posture. The aim during treatment is to treat the source of your pain/discomfort, reduce symptoms and address any secondary effects.
The therapy combines traditional massage alongside techniques such as soft tissue release, neuromuscular technique, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, positional release, joint mobilisation and myofascial techniques.
Each treatment is unique and built around you and your individual needs. The wide variety of techniques means that the session can be adapted to your specific needs, making the treatment as effective as possible for you.
To manage ongoing issues and injuries, a treatment plan will be created, containing some easy remedial exercises for you to do in between sessions.
